Ann Dozier's piano selections and Gene Stabler singing "The Lord's Prayer" were beautiful complements to Pastor Paul McVay's soul-searching message, “What’s Your Story?”
The congregation also enjoyed singing some favorite hymns and hearing the offertory selection "Jesus Take the Wheel" sung by Wilma McVay.
The Lower Peach Tree UMC pastors who have been “Our Homecoming Pastors” are:

Paul McVay.
At Homecoming 2006 the group was honored to have the Demopolis District Superintendent, Reverend Reba S. Wiley, fill in for our dear Pastor O’Bryant who was absent due to health reasons.

The old bell cast in 1888 was rung by William Russell Carothers, II of Winfield, Alabama. From among the many children and adults who wished to ring the bell Russell was chosen since he had the record of having rung the bell at many of our homecomings.
The Overton family attend our services regularly, and at homecoming time Betty Overton
(left) along with Ann Dozier works hard even cleaning the church from front to back.
Ann and John Harrison, who belong to Creel's Chapel UMC, travel to LPT to support our church. There are others as well who are faithful to attend Fifth Sunday Services and it takes all of them to keep our beloved church an active one.
