LOWER PEACH TREE HOMECOMING 2007

The 2007 Homecoming theme was "The Old Spinning Wheel in the Parlor - Home Scenes in LPT Long Ago."

The souvenir program cover, designed by Phillip Collier of New Orleans, features photos contributed by Dorothy McHenry Stryker of Cottondale, Florida. Dorothy fondly remembers the 1948 snow and the fun she and her friends Ida Bea Dozier and Henrietta Irby shared - snowball fights, building a snowman, and eating snow ice cream.

"We awoke to the most glorious sight! Everything was covered with snow, so peaceful and beautiful. White as cotton, it was," she recalls. "Excitement was in the air as it was for us young folks our very first snow."

WELCOME TO YOUR FIRST LPT HOMECOMING, CHARLES AND MARY WIMBERLY

Reverend Charles Wimberly was appointed pastor of the Bashi-Creels Chapel-Lower Peach Tree Charge in June 2006. His first LPT service was the fifth Sunday in July 2006. Since then Reverend Wimberly and his wife, Mary, have endeared themselves to us. They reside in Plantersville.

A VERY WELCOME GUEST

We were happy to have our former pastor Reverend Jimmy R. O'Bryant attend the homecoming activities this year. We are grateful for his ministry and glad to see him looking well.
