The 2006 Christmas Candlelight Service on December 17 at the Lower Peach Tree United Methodist Church was a great success. We were glad to see our former pastor Jimmy R. O’Bryant. Almost 50 people came together for worship and fellowship in celebration of the Christmas season.

"SILVER ANNIVERSARY"

The 25-year celebration of our annual Lower Peach Tree Homecoming included a change from last year and a special presentation. Our pastor Rev. Jimmy R. O' Bryant was unable to attend due to poor health. See Pastor's Message. The May 28th service was led by Demopolis District Superintendent, Rev. Reba D. Wiley, whose sermon was appropriately titled "How to Come Home to Christ." We were honored to have her and her husband, Rev. Steve Wiley, here with us at this milestone event in the history of LPT gatherings.

LPT HOMECOMING 2006: A VERY SPECIAL DAY

Through all these 25 years Maud K. Garrick has been the driving force, organizer, and devoted champion of homecoming which brings together visitors from Alabama and several other states every year. Maud has been called the "Mother Hen of Homecoming," a title she richly deserves. And this year she was honored with a special plaque and floral arrangement, as well as verbal and written tributes.
